Charlie is one of the sweetest animals I've ever met. He is a
sincere, sweet guy. Charlie came to join our family as I was
looking for a guard animal to watch over my little pygmy
goats. I noticed the ad for Charlie and went to meet him. He
lived at a horse breeding/training facility near Didsbury. It was
love at first sight! The next day my Dad and I went to pick
him up. When we stopped the trailer in Sundre Charlie's
"hee-haws" rang out throughout the streets!! What a character.
Charlie has taken his guard donkey job very seriously.
Whenever he hears a vehicle drive in or sees someone walking
towards our yard he lets out a really loud
'HEEEEEEEEE-HAAAAAAAAW'. No one can sneak past him!
Charlie has been ridden by small children in the past and we
hope he will be buddies with our son, William. I am also
hoping to start driving Charlie in harness later this year. That
should be quite an adventure!
