Rev is the result of years of dreaming of owning a feisty little
terrier! In January 2005 we brought home our little dream dog
and he has been a joy since he arrived! My search for Rev
began over four years ago when I began researching the
breed. I loved the 'big dog in a little package' and their feisty
love of life. I knew that someday I would be owned by a little
white terrier.
Fast forward to 2004 when I began to search for a fourth dog
in earnest. I contacted many, many reputable breeders in
Canada and the US looking for my perfect match. I wanted a
well built male with a great temperament, excellent bloodlines
and excellent health. Mr. Right needed to be keen, high drive,
and food and toy motivated. Not a small order to fill!

What Rev has taught
me about life: That
good things come in
small packages! Don't
underestimate the
power of a dog in a
little body! He has
also taught me the
joys of starting with a
'clean slate'. I love my
rescues but it is also
nice to start with a
dog with no issues
for a change.

On January 1, 2005 Jennifer Johnston
Posey Canyon Parson Russell Terriers
in Leavenworth, Washington contacted
me. She had a little white male that
sounded like the perfect fit! We were very excited at the
prospect of adding this little man to our family. We made the
arrangements and on February 7, 2005 Rev flew to Calgary to
meet us!
We arrived at the airport on a cold and wintery night, anxious
and excited to meet our new little friend. Unfortunately there is
a lot of red tape to go through before the airline will actually
hand the dog over to you. We ran around the airport getting the
papers cleared through customs. Finally we could meet Rev!
Our first sight of Rev was of his little face peering out of his
kennel door. He was a tiny little white pup with pink rimmed
eyes squinting into the bright airline cargo office. He had a
fringe of whiskers around his lips and wisps of white hair all
over his body. He was perfect!
Although he had just endured a long plane ride and lots of
strangers Rev was still full of wiggles. He rocked his crate with
his full body wiggles. We let him out to stretch his legs and pee
and he bucked, wiggled and danced around excitedly. He was
full of kisses and so happy to meet us. We couldn't have asked
for a pup with a better temperament! After a quick pee he
settled into my jacket for a warm ride to his new home. He
acted like he'd known us all along. I love his confidence and
friendly, accepting nature.
Rev took to our other three dogs like they have known each
other for their entire lives. He is a little fireball who can hold
his own in a wrestling match against the big dogs. He also took
me by surprise when he crawled right up and snuggled with
Luke. He seemed quite at home with the big dog. I think Luke
was a little surprised too!

Every day with Rev is full of fun. He is a very sweet little guy.
He loves to wrestle and race around the house like a mad man,
or fetch his toys, then snuggle in to a lap for an afternoon nap.
His favourite place to sleep is squished as close as possible to
his favourite people. He is a very affectionate and willing boy.
He is very attentive for his young age, and he tries very hard to
figure out what it is you want. I am looking forward to many
years of training and trialing with Rev in the future!
