William Mark Taylor
Adjusting to life with Will was a bit of a challenge but
we were so overwhelmed with the joy of having him in
our lives that it was hard to remember life without him.
There were a few minor adjustments ie. getting used to
the fact the simplest errand became a full day affair of
planning, preparation and packing 1/2 the nursery into
the car. We've been enjoying our new life immensely.
Will's been dazzling us since Day 1! Here he is giving
us a wise and quizzical look at 6 days of age. He is a
scholar right from the get go!
Mark took his new job as "Dad" very seriously. He
began teaching Will the finer things in life very quickly.
Here he is teaching Will how to watch hockey. Like
father, like son.
It is amazing how someone so small can make your life so full.
One of the most challenging early tasks of childcare
was the dreaded bath!! As you can see Will quite
hated his first bath! Over time we became more
proficient, and he really started to love tub time!
Now baths are a daily adventure of play and fun.
Will's even bobbed around in his very own ducky
dingy boat.
For Will's First Halloween he dressed up as a sweet pea.
Is there anything sweeter? I think not! Everyone thought
he was the cutest lil thing they'd ever seen. Mark,
however, did not deem this costume to be "manly
enough" and delegated himself in charge of Halloween
costume selection next year. I am curious what he will
choose? A lumberjack? Wrestler? Hockey player? It
should be interesting!
The First 3 Months
Will was baptized December 4, 2005
at St. Joseph's Parish. It was a
beautiful ceremony. Will screamed
throughout the entire service! I guess
he knew he was the centre of attention
and wanted to ham it up. Afterwards
we had a nice family meal. His
Godfather is Uncle Morgan and his
Godmother is Aunty Erin English. Will
wore the same baptismal gown that my
brothers and I wore. Luckily we were
all hefty babies, just like Will!
William's First Road Trip - Eastend, SK
Parenthood has really agreed with us and we can't
imagine life without this little sweetie. Its amazing how
much we feel like a "family" now that our little clan has
grown from 2 to 3. Here we are adoring wee Will at 6
weeks of age.

In mid-November we travelled to
Eastend, SK to meet the rest of
William's extended family - the
Taylors and the Tophams. Will met
his namesake, Great-Grandpa Bill
Topham. Will also got to spend
quality time with Great-Grandma
Joyce, Pop Pops, Grandma Linda,
Uncle Devin and Aunty Carmen.
Another highlight was that Will was
able to meet his Great-Uncle Jack.

William's First Christmas
Will's First Christmas was a very special time for us. The
holidays were filled with lots of family, good food and fun.
Will was able to spend time with a lot of his Alberta family,
and his Saskatchewan grandparents even came for a visit.
Will even attended his first Ukrainian Christmas. Will even
celebrated New Years in fine fashion! We hope that every
Christmas will be as special as this year.
