Rainbow Bridge

Princess, affectionately known as "Franny" crossed the bridge January 10,
2005. She was a sweet old gal at the age of 18 years. Franny came to be a
part of our family when I was a young girl. We brought her home when
she was a tiny brindle Chihuahua x Cocker Spaniel puppy. She quickly
chose her person in life. That person was my dad, Dayle. She was fiercely
loyal to her Daddy, often fretting when he was out of sight. She was his
steadfast companion who rode to work with him every day. At night she
was content to curl up on the couch with him and snooze away the
evenings. Franny has always been a part of the family and was considered
to be the "good daughter". In her old age Franny had a lot of troubles with
her kidneys. Her eyes and ears failed her but she still remained at her
Daddy's side. Despite her failing body she still had the spunk and love of
life to race a few laps around the house. At the end of her journey her
body was just too tired. Dad took his friend on one last ride to the vet. It
was a very hard decision for him as Franny was his dearest little friend.
Her Daddy also took her old friend Midnight the Kitty to go to the bridge
with her. Midnight was 19 years old and had grown old with Franny. I am
sure it was great comfort for them both to be in each other's company. I
am sure that Franny is grateful that her Daddy had the compassion to help
her cross the bridge when her time came. We love you Franny!! We hope
you are healthy, young, frisky as ever and surrounded by wieners in
heaven. ~Love Always, Your Family~
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here,
that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all
of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is
plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and
comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and
vigor.
Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again,
just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they
miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly
stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager
body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over
the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally
meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands caress the beloved
head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so
long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together...

We loved you fiercely from the start,
You'll always have a place in my heart.
Our time together was much too brief,
And now we are left with regret and grief,
We love you Simon, rest now, little one.
Love your Mom and Dad and baby Will

What can I say about dear Tony?? I can honestly
say that Tony is the most challenging dog I've ever
encountered. He has taught me so many things
about the canine species. Despite our rough
beginnings we grew to love each other. Tony was
my sidekick, my pal. I'm sure there's a heap of
dog people out there who wouldn't recognize me
without my little white buddy at my feet. Maybe
someday I will have the guts to describe our
journey together, to describe everything Tony
meant to me, the regrets and the sadness I face.
But for now, I think I'll go have a good cry. And
Dear Tony, I hope you realize that I have loved
you from the moment I laid eyes on your big giant
batwing ears, that I loved you every moment we
spent together, and I love you still to this very
minute. I miss you, and I am so sorry little buddy.
I hope you understand why it had to be this way. I
miss you already and I swear I feel like you are
just around the corner, as always. The sadness
and devastation I feel right now are just a measure
of how much you meant to me.
I'll never forget you.
Love Always, Your Mom

What a beautiful, promising little colt you were. It was such a tragedy that you broke your leg.
I hope you are at peace and free from your suffering, little one. I still dream of what could have
been. I will remember you always!
Love, Tam
