| Description "Maude" is the matriarch of our herd and the best nurse cow I have ever encountered (in fact, it is a bit problematic!) She will let anyone suck, anywhere, anytime. We turn orphan calves in with her and she takes care of them without any interference. In her last lactation she raised two calves simultaneously while providing milk for our table. She has an outstanding temperament and will stand tied to a tree in the pasture for milking if need be. She puts everything she has into her milk production and is truly a "components queen". We enjoy her rich, fresh milk, cream and butter. |
