Shadow's Story:
Shadow is home!! I first saw Shadow advertised in the summer of 2005. We were in the process of
moving out to the country and I was massively pregnant. I was determined to find a little "pony" that I
could enjoy, and in time, my kids could learn to ride. Shadow was PERFECT...but there was one catch.
He was in Manitoba at
Cedar Plains Miniatures. The distance deterred me and I sadly tried to put the
thought of him out of my mind while finding Mr. Right a little closer to home.

Fast forward 12 months. I can't get the vision of that flashy little grey horse out of my mind. We are
now settled into the country and our son has been born. Every so often I find myself thinking "Hmmm, I
wonder whatever happened to that little show stopper?" One day my curiosity gets the better of me. I
contacted his owner, Holly, via email. Lo and behold he is still available!! After a full 12 months of pining
away for the gorgeous grey horse I bit the bullet. Really, what is a few kilometers when its your destiny?
LOL We set to work to finding Shadow a ride home and in September he made the looooooong journey
west.

Shadow is now home and everything we could have asked for. He is such a beautiful little guy, and I
often find myself standing with my mouth gaping open as I am doing chores and he's trotting around the
pasture. He has made friends with many of the creatures on the farm and is equally at home with the
mini donkeys and horses as he is with the gentle old 16 hh sport horse. He's a real gentleman and a
dream to have around. We are looking forward to starting him in harness and I am eager to compete
with him in combined driving in the VSE division. I am also hoping to do a bit of showing. And of
course, his most important job of all will be Will's FIRST horse. That is a very important and dignified
job. We are confident he's just the man for the job.

Please check back for more info, show record, and pictures of Shadow and his ancestors soon!
